Good-Bye Geeks in High School

In case you didn’t catch the memo, Geeks in High School shut down on that special extra day of February.

Blogging takes time, and when you have a 9 to 5 on top of that, and a budding writer career on top of THAT…well, it’s tough. I’m not whining. We all have the same 24 hours as everyone else, and it’s hard to stuff in everything you want to do in those hours. Right? So the bloggers at Geeks, who are all in the same time-crunch boat, decided to shut down and donate those extra minutes to personal writing instead of blogging. *Sniff* On one hand, I’m sad to see GIHS go. It was fun, I love all my fellow bloggers, and I love promoting awesome books and connecting with other authors. But on the other hand, yeah, it takes an extra wedge from my tiny pie of free time that I could really use elsewhere.

So…will I keep up with my personal blog? I’m still mulling that one over. I have a couple obligations from GIHS that will show up here instead. I might try to have a short, weekly teaser post. I really enjoyed writing the Midnight Confessions episode with Georgia Hunter, and doing more Kat Krangle confessional booth interviews with characters from other authors would be fun. We’ll see. In the meantime, I’ll keep stalking the same blogs I stalk, and I’m still open to promoting other authors, so if you have a cover reveal or a new release you want me to share, don’t be shy!

  1. Ah, man! I totally understand the decision though. It’s hard to juggle everything and get quality words written.

So true! I wanted to do more than mostly book spotlights, but finding the time to do everything my mind spins to life is impossible. When I win the lottery, though, things will change. 🙂

  2. Oh man. That sucks, but I totally understand. Time is precious.

I hope you’ll put something on your blog now and again so I can stop by and harrass you.

And, please don’t stop coming by my blog on Mondays. I just might have to hunt you down if you do.

I’ve enjoyed the journey with you.

Your blog is so much fun – no way will I pass that up! Don’t worry, I’ll be around to tease you about cats and stuff. And I’ll probably write a blog post every so often…probably. Thanks for dropping by and sharing my GIHS farewell. 🙂

  3. Aw bummer! I missed that. But totally understandable. I hope you’ll keep blogging here, CJ! I enjoy all of your posts from over there 🙂

Thanks, Anna! I’d like to carve out some time for a weekly blog, but my game plan isn’t set up yet. We’ll see, we’ll see. Definitely every once in a while.
